Indiatimes Shopping Review – Online shopping can be the quickest and easiest buying experiences done right from your living room. As e commerce gets more notice in here, there are new online shopping websites that open shop every day,but one of the oldest and most trusted is Indiatimes Shopping
Amidst a lot of unhappy customers,we decided to see for ourselves if the service was really bad or infact was it a pleasurable one.
Newspaper deals
The advertisements in the times newspapers- Times of India, Bombay Times and Mumbai Mirror have some attractive daily offers, almost always with some freebies. After zeroing in on one such offer, which was a mobile phone with a Bluetooth free we wanted to check against other online mobile phone selling stores or websites. Searching for an advertised mobile phone in Google threw up a few thousand results. We scanned through most of the websites, and all of them were 20-40% more expensive than indiatimes shopping. However there was only one online shopping portal that matched this price exactly, and that was Naaptol. We have already bought from Naaptol before so wanted to try a new website,even though Naaptol also offered a similar free product of a wireless Bluetooth along with the mobile phone.
One thing we noticed was the price of the same phone on the indiatimes shopping website and the newspaper advertisement were different. It was Rs.1000 more on the website. That’s a HUGE difference. Any way after calling the customer care number, the operator informed us that the website price was different since those were being sourced from another store.
Payment options
Since on the website you can either pay through credit or debit card, and the price was Rs.1000 more, wanted to try to pay on the phone through the credit card. To my surprise it was possible. All you have to do is sms the bank requesting for a one time code which will be sent to your mobile immediately. This mobile however should be registered number with the bank from which credit card you hold. This simple procedure would take just 5 minutes but sine the amount was so small I decided to pay cash on delivery. After giving address instructions it was clearly specified that it would take 10-13 days for delivery, which was fine by me.

They do have a customer support but they always lie and promises made are never kept. They never bother to connect to the next escalation level, infact they do not have any escalation matrix defined.
I received a manufacturer defect product. This is not Indiatimes’s fault, agreed but could they have not acted maturely to my grievance to avoid the mental harassment that I had for almost a month? They indeed could but they definitively did not. Very unprofessional service.

I hav ordrd for a product en indiatimes en they delivrd a wrong product to me. Now am begging behind them for the return procedure. Its been 2 months now and not even a positive response. Site given in indiatimes shopping was a fake one en deliver a wrong product and when v ask for cash back they say like processing. We were taking further enquiry about it and so on….After all my money….its lost and the product delivered still with me as fresh pack….a total waste…..am fed up wit it. And their customer care number i tried many times they wont pickup.

the picture shows a headset of skull master pro headset which is costly one and they deliver some other product of philips which is not even resembling the picture shown.
This is one of the worst online shopping site never buy anything from here. I was cheated by this site I was order for an Rakhi hamper they commit to deliver it with in 7 days. even after 15 days also they did not cancel the order and later after 1 month they send rakhi…..stupit people stupie shopping site. they even never revert to your query…
I really had bad experince with indiatimes as they had taken more than 10 days to send my parcel but it is the cheapest so its good
