VOX MOBILE VGS 505 REVIEW – First things first, we admit buying the VOX 505 on an impulse. This is an unbiased Vox mobile vgs 505 review.Trying to decide for ourselves which is the best online shopping portal out of the two- Indiatimes Shopping or Naaptol. After reviewing and purchasing from both the websites we could make our conclusion, as there are many unhappy shoppers from both the websites.The VOX 505 seems real VFM as it came at a fantastic bargain of 2999 +250 shipping, we searched all online shopping websites, and to our surpise out of about 40+ e commerce portals only two gave it at this low price, which of course was Indiatimes shopping and Naaptol. In my opinion no one can touch these two websites as far as online shopping goes. To make our choice, we had already bought from Naaptol in the past,and already reviewed it, so we decided to try out Indiatimes Shopping. As far as service was concerned, delivery was prompt in 5 days, the piece reached the address, and Cash on Delivery was paid.

1.Screen Size-Undoubtadly one of the best features of this mobile is its 3.2” touch screen.Most Mobiles in this low price range have a less than 3” screen..This seems to be its usp

2.Price-This is probably one of the few phones out there that can boast of GPRS and Touchscreen within a budget 3000. The price factor is a huge draw even in the advertisements as customers know that there isn’t a single phone out there that can have so many goof features.Check specs above for more details.

3.GSensor-This fun feature allows you to change pictures,change songs,change wallpapers etc with just a “flip” action of the wrist.

WHATS NOT

1.Java-Or lets say lack of it. Nowadays the best games and apps run in a java environment, without java it’s a big letdown.

2.WiFi- Free wireless net browsing is provided in all places nowadays, its s shame that a phone with a built in WAP and browser capabilities doesn’t also have WiFi connectivity.

3.Camera-We would expect a higher resolution camera for a 3.2” screen, but all that we got was a lowly 1.3 MP that gave us a maximum resolution of 1280*960.Not good enough to snap  hi res pictures.

4.Image Viewer-is slow between images,especially if the image is of a higher resolution.Also the image viwer doesn’t support pictures larger than1MB

5.Internal Memory-The most ridiculous part is that this phone has only 200 KB internal memory,out of which about 160 KB is used by system software/OS,so you have no choice but to put a micro SD card

6.External Memory-It supports only upto 2GB external memory which is rather low for a touch screen phone nowadays.

VERDICT

For a price of 2999,this phone is worth every square cm of plastic that it is made up of. You will never get any other touch screen mobile with so many features for this price,that too with a few freebies thrown in,and 6months manufacturers warranty. Go ahead and pick this one up with your eyes closed.
