In the month of March 2020 when the world went into lockdown mode and most student were left in the lurch because they could not attend school.
There was a government rule which prohibited all types of businesses as well as schools and colleges to resume daily classes due to this dangerous covid 19 pandemic.All of us were confused and did not know how else we could carry on our day to day studies and pass the year.
In order to get promoted to the next academic year it was essential for the schools and colleges to keep a system in place whereby online studies could continue and ensure students academic future is not disrupted.
My teachers and professors were very professional in the way they handled the online classes during this troubling time and all of us have benefited greatly from the experience.
Talking about the experience i would like to start by saying it was a very strange feeling for the first time – looking at all my friends and classmates through the camera.
Our subject teachers would each give us a time slot and zoom call id number to login to. Just like regular classrooms we would see them one after another.
since the past many months this has been our way of learning.Our homework was submitted online as well as monthly tests were conducted in digital mode and emailed to the teachers.
This experience has been positive from what i witnessed and was also fun most of the time.There were some technical difficulties sometimes when the connection was bad but in many cases classes went on smoothly without any glitches.
While we cannot compare it to the real world,the thing i miss most about my school is when me and friends would get to play together.This is not possible during online classes and we must be content with just seeing each other through the camera. There is a different sense of happiness when we see and talk to our friends in real and this feeling cannot be replicated in the virtual world.
I will surely cherish my online classes and cannot wait to get back to regular classroom studies.
