What is the meaning of HIFD and full form ?

In the 80s and early 90s the best way of portable storage for computer files and media was the good ol’ floppy disk.Even though it had only 1.44 Megabytes of storage space,the HIFD was the cheapest way to transfer files from one machine to another.
