IT Engineering course, scope, jobs and salary details
IT Engineering course, scope, jobs and salary details – Information technology engineering or IT is a Bachelors B.E course of 4 years duration. It is similar to Computer Engineering in many ways.If you love the internet and have a high desire to work for any type of Online company/startup with a dot com, this is a field for you. This course started in the 2000,when i had gone for my first CAP round for admission.
How does it differ from Computer Engineering? While it shares almost 60% syllabus and subjects with Computer Engineering, where it differs is that it totally deals with Online and Web Information systems programming, whereas computer Engineering deals with Software Coding and Programming.
How does it differ from Software Engineering? First of all, software engineers are not “engineers” in the literal sense. They do not do any B.E/B.Tech degree and only learn coding from an institute like NIIT or Aptech etc.Its true that many of these things like SQL and database \ management etc are also taught in B.E Computer Engineering and I.T engineering, but these people just use the “engineer” tag to make themselves seem more legit. They can also be arts students or commerce students that do a software course after graduation and then start coding in a big company. You value as an I.T Engineer will always be more heavier than a “software engineer”.
In the dot com boom of 1999-2000 the internet was the place for new era billionaires, and that it was seen as the new emerging market. With this new technology and engineers were needed to keep pace with this new explosion.Information systems and storage had to be maintained, updated, expanded and programmed.
I.T engineering was my first choice at the CAP rounds but it was the most sought after branch of engineering since it was newly introduced and after computer engineering, this was the biggest thing.Since it was so high in demand, only students with PCM marks of 90% + were getting admission into it,that too only in paid seats, for free seats PCM marks were over 95%

IT Engineering Career ,Salary and Scope
Let me tell you,if you become an I.T Engineer, you wont be able to count your money! Its true.I.t engineers are the HIGHEST paid professionals in the country and even more so if you do engineering and go abroad.
In foreign countries I.T engineers are in heavy demand and earn tons of cash! I know a friend who went to U.S and within a year he drives a 5 series BMW,no jokes, and he is not from IIT or anything, just a regular Engineering college with a B.E degree.
Why is it in so much demand? The main reason that in the list of recruits below you see companies from all sectors of industry employing I.T Engineers is because nowadays a bulk of all business sis done online and earnings and eCommerce of all companies come from internet customers.
It doesn’t matter if it is a dot com like Facebook, Google ,Flipkart etc because even Financial Institutions like Banks,Insurance companies,Lending companies require people from the IT sector as well as retailers, oil companies, software manufacturers and every one else.
Life nowadays is spent online. You can expect to earn atleast 35-40k starting salary after you graduate and if you go abroad you can earn at least $70,000- $80,000 if you are employed by a small company.Bigger companies pay minimum $100,000 a year.
Top Companies that recruit I.T Engineers
1.Wipro
2.Accenture
3.Flipkart
4.Vistaar
5.TCS
6.Google
7.Facebook
8.Oracle
9.Capgemini
How can we be Software engineer?? I mean from which engineering Computer engineering or by Information technology engineering?? Please tell.
IT engineering has more of web technology programming which is more relevant nowadays as you learn about apps also,go for that
