Jharkhand is one of the newest states that was carved out of Bihar less than a decade ago.It has a growing infrastructure and few educational institutions have just begun to get off the ground.There is just one hotel management degree college in the state of Jharkhand that is reputed and many of the students who wish to get an education in this professional career head to the ISM.

It is situated in the capital city of Ranchi that is a bustling city on its own and there are many opportunities in this big city to do smaller duration certification courses and hobby courses in cooking,baking and other kitchen related courses.

Eligibility and course

This grueling course can be as long as 5 years and one of the best things about it is the practical work experience that is provided by the college at the end of the 4 years of study.They setup the students in actual hotels and restaurants as an internship project for 2 semesters at the end of the course.Also yo may get a stipend amount for working those 2 semesters.

The ISM is a private college and there is a procedure for students who wish to get admission there.Although most admission seats are given out on merit and marks base don the class 12 results,some seats are saved for the management quota.
