The National malaria eradication program was a national drive that reduced deaths from malaria substantially. It consisted of spraying pesticides, cleanliness drives as well as more disease fighting drugs that were made available to the general public. Although it was not totally eradicated, but its now at a very low level and only stray cases arise each year in most countries.
