What is the meaning of SBC and full form ?

SBCs were introduced in the early 2000s whereby the motherboard contained all the peripheral devices “onboard ” the motherboard itself.They were directly electronically attached to the motherboard like the audio hardware,LAN,display etc.Instead of adding multiple cards in the PCI slots this was more efficient.
