Engineering colleges in Mumbai  – Cut offs

There are many factors including the CET rank,Diploma marks,B.sc marks or 12th marks on the basis of which you can take admission into a college affiliated to Mumbai University that is under the DTE and the admission procedure is handled by it.There are 2-3 common admission rounds that fill up the 50,000+ seats available.

Each engineering college has a ranking and a fixed number of seats for each branch.According to the ranking A,B,C awarded by DTE,maximum number of applicants choose the higher ranked colleges first in their choice option form.Due to this these seats get filled up with the highest PCM marks.

Engineering colleges in Mumbai – How to choose the best one for you

There are lots of factors that you should keep in mind while choosing your choice codes for engineering colleges in Mumbai region.

  • According to me,i would say that distance is the number one point to keep in mind.I used to travel 2.5 hours everyday and this is very difficult in times of exams.Sometimes you have 2 exams in 2 days – if you have an ATKT and it gets impossible to study for the next day exam.
  • Rating of the college is important- provided you have a high PCM score or CET score. The syllabus is the same for all colleges affiliated to Mumbai University, but the placements are totally different.Good colleges get bigger companies at time of placements who in turn offer higher packages.
