ATutor Features List updated

ATutor Features List updated – One of the most widely used Learning Management Systems in
recent times, which has been around since more than a year.Now three avatars
later the ATUtor Features list  boasts of better security upgrades, a new version of Fluid’s Uploaded and most importantly a more robust and efficient Common Cartridge. Here is a
look at some new updated features:

INTEGRATED ASSIGNMENT DROP BOX

Assignment module is used by the instructor to check existing
assignments that have previouslybeen assigned to a single student or a batch of
students,and can set the appropriate due date for submission. The instructor
can grade the assignments that have been uploaded and can also paste comments
where required.The student simply open the assignment module and views the
details of the assignment that the instructor has set.These include details on
the file type and file extension that the assignement has to be written in
before being uploaded.The most common used file types are .doc and .rtf. Once
uploaded, a success icon will flash alon with other relevant details like name
of student, date and time submitted and maximum grade marks in numericals.Once
graded,clicking on the graded tab will show the numerical grade given by
instructor and comments if any.In the new Atutor 2.0.3,this assignment dropbox
utility has been integrated into the Atutor core code base.

FLUID INFUSION

Fluid’s uploader that is used for uploading pictures,
documents,tutorials and presentations by instructor as well as students has
been upgraded to version 1.4.Ever since Fuid has been integrated into the main
ATutor console,there have been complaints with the Multifile uploader and its
use with browsers other than Inernet Explorer.This upgrade has fixed some of
these bugs as Fluid also integrates into the File manager for more diverse
access.

IMS COMMON CARTRIDGE

The common cartridge libraries that hold digital textbooks
and learning resources that can be downloaded by the instructor and can be
accessed by all student in the course. When a particular cartridge was imported
by the instructor, and was imported, it took a long time to load,due to
cartridge validation. This load time has been greatly reduced in 2.03 as well
as the validation libraries have been updated to cover more content.
