CMC Vellore Nursing 2018: Admit Card, Exam Dates, Pattern & Admission – The Christian Medical College or CMC as it is called in short is based in Vellore in Tamil Nadu.This entrance test for which the admit card will be released on the exam date mentioned below.The application form, document checklist, paper pattern, syllabus and other details are shown below.
This entrance test needs to be taken by prospective students who want admission into the undergraduate courses in medicine and nursing from CMC.If the student gets through the entrance exam.
The process of admission has begun online and the admit card also has been released on 23rd February for degree courses.

Eligibility for CMC Vellore Entrance Exam
M.B.B.S
Candidates who want to apply for the CMC Vellore MBBS, Entrance Exam must fulfill the following eligibility criteria. if in the case of non-fulfill the following then that candidates will be not allowed to attend the entrance exam.
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 level exam with the minimum of 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or zoology and Botany is taken together).
- Candidate should have obtained an aggregate of 140/200 in all the above-mentioned subjects, both at qualifying exam and competitive exam and must have passed in English.
- Age Limit: Candidate age should be Minimum of 17 years on or before December 31, 2018.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
- Qualifying Exam: Passed Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary/Intermediate/10+2/an equivalent examination recognized by the University/10 + 1 in or before the year 1986.
- Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course.
- Permanent registration certificate with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery/alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council.
- A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer.
Post Basic Diploma in Nursing
- Qualifying Exam: Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course/B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Permanent registration certificate from the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates).
- Minimum one year of work experience as on 1st September 2018 in any clinical area in the hospital or in the community.
- A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer.
M.Sc Nursing
- Qualifying Exam: Must pass B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from the recognized institution.
- Minimum Marks: The qualifying exam must be passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
- Must register with State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery/alternate course.
- Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in School of Nursing or in Community Health Programme from the date of registration in the State Nursing Council.
- Medical fitness certificate from an authorized medical officer.

How to Apply for the CMC Vellore Nursing Exam
- The application form is available only through online mode.
- CMC Vellore Nursing 2018 application form has been released now.
- The last date to submit the online application form will be 15th January 2018.
- Applicants have to submit the supporting documents (where applicable) along with the application form.
- Enter valid e-mail ID in the application form and upload the recent passport size photograph and signature in the specified format.
- The application fee for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing is Rs. 810/- per course.
- For Post Basic Diploma in Nursing, the application fee is Rs. 350/-, while for M.Sc in Nursing it is Rs. 1000/-.
- Application fee can be paid through Demand Draft drawn in Favour of “C.M.C. Vellore Association a/c” on any scheduled bank, payable in Vellore. Write your name and application number on the back side of the demand draft and send it to the college address before 1st April 2018.
- Fee can also be paid through Challan of ICICI bank and credit/debit card.

CMC Nursing Exam Pattern:
The Exam Pattern Will Be In Two Stages:
Stage 1: computerized exam, where candidates gets 190 minutes for exam
Stage 2: in this stage, the candidates belonging to the Christian category will have to attend a test to prove their Holy Bible Knowledge. Where 50 multiple choice questions will be given.
This will be followed by another pattern of 120 questions, which is divided into two categories.
Category 1: category 1 will have 60 questions that to be answered in 50 Minutes.
Category 2: at this category will have 60 questions that to be answered in 20 Minutes
- Duration of the Exam will be 190 Minutes.
- 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer
- No negative marking in the exam.
- These questions are mainly on the subjects that based on contemporary topics, which is conducted for checking the General ability including speed of the candidates, accuracy, knowledge and few questions will be from current affairs.
- The Total Time duration of CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 will be Total of 3 Hours and 10 Minutes.
- Admission will be given on the basis of merit list of the candidates.
- A merit list is prepared by the Institute of medical education, on the basis of candidate’s performance.
- Where it includes the two steps, the first step is assessment test, and the second step is special test and interview.
- Assessment test refers to a computerized base test, whereas special test and interview refers to the candidate have to attend some interview.

CMC Vellore Nursing Paper Pattern
Applicants can get the pattern of exam for CMC Vellore Nursing entrance exam (M.Sc Nursing) from here:
- Mode of Exam: The examination will be conducted as Computer Based Test.
- Medium of Exam: The paper will be published in English language only.
- Type of Questions: The question paper will contain only Multiple Choice questions.
- Papers: General Paper AND/OR Speciality Paper.
- The General paper will consist of questions from Medical Surgical, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Community Health, and Psychiatric Nursing.
- The Speciality paper will consist of questions specific to each of the 5 specialties.
