What does URL mean or stand for ?

Uniform Resource Locator or simply URL is one of the most common terms we use nowadays on the internet.It is the physical address of a website written in an alphanumeric readable format.Instead of using the default address that is machine generated that is a nonsensical series of numbers,this would be impossible for a human to remember.Thus words like http://code99.com or http://trialbin.gov are used.
