ADVP Full Form – Acoustic Doppler Velocity Profiler

ADVP is a device that is used to check the speed of underwater currents as well as to gauge the depth of large water bodies.It works with the same principle as the SONAR – it sends out high frequency doppler signal waves  that bounce back to the device.The ADVP then calculates the time it takes and the information displays back results in real time
