What does AGRS mean or stand for ?

Air-Ground Radiotelephone Service is a technology that allows passengers aboard aircraft to make and receive telephone calls while in flight. Nowadays this service is extended to the use of internet usage via wifi and is available to all passengers where this facility is operational.

Its important to note that all carriers do not provide this service and a special license from the FCC is required because it sometimes interferes with the avionics and electrical systems on the plane.
