What does EMP mean or stand for ?

Electro-Magnetic Pulse is a short burst of energy or electromagnetic radiation exhibited by the explosion of a device or natural phenomena.In far reaches of the cosmos,the formation of stars and destruction of them cause these high wavelength pulses.Also man made devices and potential detonation weapons are created to mimic this effect which could be hazardous to to electronic equipment.
