What does UCM mean or stand for ?

Universal Cable Module or UCM is type of computer cable that is used to connect two parallel ports on two separate computer terminals.These were used in the 1990s and provided faster transfer of data compared to serial ports.Parallel port connections that used the UCM were capable of simultaneous transfer of data multi streams rather than a serial port that only passed data one after the other.
