What is the meaning of ADSR ?

ADSR deals with the science and physics of sound and acoustics.When a note is played,it first starts loud known as attack,then stays at a steady volume for somtime – known as sustain and gradually decreases – known as release.This can be shown as a graph of amplitude versus time.
