CBSE Private candidate migration and transfer certificate

CBSE Private candidate migration and transfer certificate – There is a lot of confusion as to whether a private CBSE student can get a TC – Transfer certificate or a Migration Certificate. Also lots of people have messages me asking the procedure to get it.Firstly ill explain the difference between the two and how both are issued.

HOW TO GET CBSE  TC – TRANSFER CERTIFICATE

The Transfer Certificate is nothing but a School Leaving Certificate. As you can see from the picture below, this is my Transfer certificate that i had received when i left my school. This certificate is NOT issued by the CBSE board, and is only given by the school or institution that you last studied under.

The TC contains important information like:

The last class you attended

Date of Admission and of date of Leaving school

Result and attendance of the last class you attended

WHAT is the MIGRATION CERTIFICATE

The difference between the TC and Migration is that TC is issued by the institution where you studied last whereas the Migration is issued by the Regional Board- in this case CBSE.Its purpose is to certify that you have passed a CBSE board exam and can apply for a new course in another college.

Remember- This migration certificate is only to given to students who have passed or those who have a subject in a compartment exam.It will not be issued to failed students
