What does CRIB mean or stand for ?

In American slang,a persons home is known as a “CRIB”.Its the place where you come home to after a long days work,where you chill with your buddies over pizza and beers.

The word “CRIB” was made famous by the MTV show “CRIBS” which features celebrity mansions.In the show,they meet the owner of the “CRIB” and then walk around the house checking out the rooms.The guided tour is hosted by the celebrity owner themselves.
