What does D.S.O mean or stand for ?
D.S.O is an award given to people who have served in any of the armed forces in Britain.It is a gallantry or bravery award for exceptional service during wartime or combat and is bestowed on the person by a member of the Royal House.
The ceremony is very similar to that of O.B.E or Knight ship and is a very prestigious honor and something to be extremely proud of.These are awarded fir duty in a major war,which maybe also fought along with allied forces like the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.
