What does DENV mean or stand for ?

DENV – Dengue Virus  is a type of infection that is similar to Malaria and is spread by mosquitoes is characterized by bouts of fever,body pain,nausea and other symptoms like that of the flu.The only indicator of Dengue is by taking a blood test that will show if you are positive or negative.

There is no cure for this virus and paracetamol will reduce the fever coupled with bed-rest. The only danger that should be monitored is the level of blood platelets.If it goes dangerously low,then hospitalization is needed for a transfusion of platelets.

If platelet count is maintained then recovery takes 5-6 days.
