What is the meaning of NET/SET and full form ?

In order to become a teacher or professor in certain states then this pre qualification degree is a must.this is a mandatory test that needs to be cleared and based on the merit score you will be assigned a teaching position in a select school.The B.Ed degree had lots of value earlier on,but now due to Net/SET its not so much in demand.
