Rudder Reference Line
What is the meaning of RRL ?
The rudder is a mechanical attachment on a plane or boat that is hinged and can be oscillated in 2 directions via hydraulic controls. In a plane the rudder controls the yaw and p factor whereas in a boat it controls the left and right directions. For aircraft pilot the rudder reference line is a good indicator of the angle direction at which the plane is at, and although there are onboard instruments to show this, it is a manual way of knowing the yaw and p factor.
