What does B.C. mean or stand for ?

JC as we affectionately call him, has been pivotal in shaping our timeline.The year 0 is assumed to be taken to be the year of Jesus Christ’s birth.This assumed year in our reference time scale is called as an “epoch”.In theory there is no “year 0” but only 1 B.C. and 1 A.D.

It is estimated that Christ died when he was about 33 years old.According to the timeline that would mean he was born in approximately 4 B.C in actuality if we count backwards.

B.C and A.D – After Christ is the years after year 0.We are in the 2020 th year after Christ.However A.D does not translate exactly to After Christ in Latin,but is “Anno Domini” – meaning the year of the Lord Jesus Christ.
