What does DCO mean or stand for ?
DCO is the personal checklist that any patient who is diagnosed with either type1,type 2 or gestational diabetes needs to keep track of.It is a health record that is either online or as a hard copy of physical checks that need to be adhered to.
The overview of these checks include – eye exams,kidney profile,feet checks,blood pressure & cholesterol screening. The most important of these is of course is the routine blood sugar checks that need to be done 3 to 4 times a day – after and before meals.Also the diet has to be regulated throughout the day.
This is the basic care that needs to be checked for a DCO.
