What does EOG mean or stand for ?
EOG is also known as Electro Olfactography and is a medical procedure that measures electrical impulses of the nose and its working.Very similar to an ECG or EKG,the patient is made to lie down on his back and tiny electrodes are placed around the nasal portion.
When connected to a printer,the electric impulses that are sent through the electrodes stimulate the olfacto organs and produces an output on the paper sheet.This graph can then be studied and analysed to learn more about the sense of smell.
