FBS full form

What does FBS mean or stand for ?

FBS is a clinical medical test to check for Diabetes.It measures the blood glucose level and since it is called as Fasting blood sugar,this means that the person undergoing the test cannot eat anything for upto 12 hours before the test.

A normal FBS should be below 100 and between 100-125 denotes a level that could indicate the onset of diabetes.
