Junior Basic Training (JBT) for teachers – This is a Diploma in Teaching for Elementary teachers. It is a certification to show that you are a trained and qualified Elementary section teacher similar to D.Ed and D.El.Ed.This JBT course is highly popular in Northern States of India including Punjab,Delhi and Jammu.

The D.Ed course is more prevalent in the western states like Maharashtra and Gujarat

Eligibility for JBT course

In order to secure admission into a JBT course you need to have done 10+2 in any stream with atleast 50% marks in the qualifying board exam overall.Some institutes also admit student who have 45% marks overall and give some relaxation to those who are from SC/ST/OBC backgrounds.

About the JBT course

It is a two year course that has both subjects based on Foundation course as well as Pedagogical subjects.
