AUX Full Form

What does AUX mean or stand for ?

The full form of AUX has universal usage and in most cases simply stands for auxiliary.You may have come across this word often in real life,but never really understood it.I personally always saw it behind my stereo system and it is where we connect our headphone jack or where i used to connect my cassette deck jack since i had a component system.

Auxiliary actually means extra or addition.Like in a stereo system or a laptop computer,the auxiliary port can be used to connect another audio device or another functional piece of hardware.Therefore in addition to the existing ports,this auxiliary port supplements them.
