Cmat notification -AICTE is conducting the first ever National level CMAT ( Common Management Aptitude Test) for facilitating institutions to select suitable students to all management programmes approved by AICTE for the year 2012-2013.The testing window for CBT (Computer Based Test) will be open for 9 days from 20 th Feb to 28th Feb.

The AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education ) came up with this decision after all different management institutions had a seperate entrance test.This got very difficult for thousands of students who had to study alot and face mental and financial burden of all the tests as each had its own syllabus and seperate fees.

What the CMAT 2012 will do is club together more than 4000 Business Schols under the wing of AICTE where there will be openings of about 1.6 lac seats to be filled by this entrance examination.It will be held in 61 cities as shown in the figure below:

graduates in any discipline or final year students of any stream may apply for CMAT 2012

test pattern

CMAT 2012 will have a total of 100 multiple choice questions that will have to be answered in a time duration of 3 hours.The paper will be divided into 4 sections namely-Quantitative techniques and data interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension,General Awareness.Each section will carry 100 marks each.

process of registration for CMAT 2012 will begin for one month on 9th December all the way till 9 th January.It will be online application and you will have to state 3 cities in order of preference for exam centre.To aoid dissapointment as there are limited number of seats for each city, apply early.Test fees are Rs.1200 for open and OBC category and Rs.600 for SC,ST and PD categories.You can either make the payment online through credit.debit card here or pay manually through a online generated challan and paid in any branch of SBI.
