Jharkhand is one of the newest states in India and is developing in infrastructure as well as in education.It is a relatively smaller state in the North of India that was carved out from Bihar which is a huge educational center of learning since thousands of years.However Jharkhand does not have the same luck as Bihar did and is restricted to only 8 engineering colleges so far.
Although these eight engineering colleges provide more than adequate branches of engineering for students to chose from,its sufficient to say that the number of seats will eventually be increased as time goes by in order to accommodate more students who wish to have a higher education in technology.
Scope and eligibility of engineering in Jharkhand
Due to fewer number of seats in just 8 colleges,there is lots of competition in getting these seats and only high scoring student can get admission into engineering in Jharkhand.The AIR score in the all India engineering entrance test gives a rank and based on this,students with a lower rank can even chose the branch of their choice.
Many small town in Jharkhand are still in the developing stages and due to this there is an unprecedented need to technical skills that are provided only by engineers.All types of service providers,civil contracts,government projects – all require fresher graduates in different capacities.
There is not much choice in the branches of engineering provided by these 8 colleges however after graduation,many tech majors rarely distinguish between branches.
