Meghalaya is small state in the North east of India and is also known as the cultural capital of the north east due to its thriving nightlife,music scene and arts.There is also however a fair share of the population that is very interested in technical studies and engineering.
Many of the smaller state do not have a single engineering college,but Meghalaya and its capital Shillong are not part of that.They are very lucky to have the Shillong Engineering and Management college in which hundreds of students take admission every year.the state of the art campus and infrastructure of this institute is second to none.A wide range of engineering branches gives ample opportunities and choices to the students to chose from computer engineering. electrical/electronics engineering and others.
Scope of Engineering in Meghalaya
Meghalaya is still a developing state and there are lots of opportunities in the manufacturing and production sector of the state both in private as well as government enterprises.There is always recruitment in the sectors of power,infrastructure development and technology and engineers will always find employment after completing a B.E or BTech degree.
